Oleg Zakharov has prepared a new textbook "Theory and Methodology of Kyokushinkai Kata"

The publishing house of the Southern Federal University has published a new book by the Deputy Chairman of the BoD of the International Athletes Rights Association Oleg Zakharov. The textbook "Theory and Methodology of Kyokushinkai Kata" will be useful for students, postgraduates and teachers of sports universities interested in the history and methodology of Japanese martial arts. A separate place in the book is devoted to issues of public diplomacy in sports and the experience of developing friendly relations between athletes of Russia and Japan. The phenomenon of kata in traditional Japanese martial culture is deeply examined.

On September 28, as part of the Rostov Open 2024 tournament, a presentation of the book "Theory and Methodology of Kyokushinkai Kata" was held. Coaches from many regions of the Russian Federation participating in the tournament showed great interest in the textbook. Foreign specialists also showed great interest in the book. Athletes and coaches from Israel, South Africa, India, Uzbekistan and European countries expressed a desire to get acquainted with this textbook. Despite the difficult international situation, sport unites people and their interest in international scientific cooperation. We wish further creative success to the young, energetic and promising head of our organization Oleg Zakharov in the development of international sport and strengthening peace on our planet.
