30.03.2024The Creative Activity of Members of the International Athlete Rights Association (IARA) in the Era of Geopolitical Changes Has Increased Many Times Over.
Under the leadership of the Honorary Chairman of the IARA BoD, President of the International Association of Sports Law (IASL), Professor Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, the monograph “Legal Responsibility in Sports” was published in Greece in 2024. There are many publications devoted to a wide variety of scientific research from labor contracts, arbitration to problems of ethical and legal responsibility, doping and transgender athletes in professional and international sports. The most active participants in the preparation of this scientific monograph were members of the IARA BoD, professor at the University of Teramo, Director of the Italian Institute of Bioethics Anna Di Giandomenico, professor at the Niccolò Cusano University, the head of IARA branch in Italy Maria Francesca Serra, as well as vice-rector for academic affairs and development of the Latvian University of Applied Sciences (EKA) Karina Zalcmane. This monograph also contains modest chapters written by the head of our organization, Anatoly Peskov. In addition, the monograph “Security in the Sports Management System” by Oleg Zakharov, Deputy Chairman of the IARA BoD, Associate Professor of the Department of Sports Disciplines of the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports of the Russian Southern Federal University was recently published, which examines the problems of ensuring the security of sporting events in the context of international terrorist threats.
We wish creative success to our scientists and athletes. We are confident that in the near future there will be other publications by IARA members related to the problems of the development of international and professional sports. No one and nothing can stop the desire of the members of our organization to generate creative ideas and change the world of international and professional sports for the better.
