Sports lawyer Manos Arvanitis Became the Head of the IARA Branch in Athens (Greece)

The Board of Directors of our Organization, by its decision dated October 22 of this year, approved the proposal of the IARA Honorary Chairman, President of the International Association of Sports Law (IASL), Professor Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, to appoint Manos Arvanitis as head of the IARA Branch in Athens (Greece). Mr. Arvanitis is a lawyer, specializing in criminal, financial and civil law. He is also the Chairman of the Judicial Committee of the Hellenic Boxing Federation and the Chairman of the Judicial Committee of the Hellenic Federation of Wheelchair Basketball Associations. Mr. Arvanitis graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece) with a degree in sports law and Lancaster University (UK) with a degree in international law. Previously he worked at the National Anti-Doping Council of Greece, he was a member of the Greek karate team, karate coach, and served in the military police. Mr. Arvanitis is 36 years old, he speaks English and German. In accordance with Article 9 of the Charter of our Organization, Mr. Arvanitis also joined the Board of Directors of the International Athlete Rights Association. We all congratulate Mr. Arvanitis on this important event in his life.
