International Athlete Rights Association (IARA) and International Association Sports Law (IASL) held an international scientific conference in Italy on May 17

      International Athlete Rights Association (IARA) and International Association Sports Law (IASL) together with the Italian universities of Teramo and Rome  held a virtual international scientific conference on the topic "How do institutional relations affect sports competitions?"

    The conference was moderated by a member of the IARA BoD Professor Anna Di Giandomenico (Italy, Teramo) and Professor of the Cusano University Maria Francesca Serra (Italy, Rome).The conference was opened by the famous and esteemed professors in Italy Luigi Mastrangelo and Adolfo Noto.

   Anatoly Peskov, Chairman of the IARA BoD (Russia), made a scientific report on the problems of combating corruption in international sports.  There were other speakers, IASL Vice-President Professor Andras Nemes (Hungary) and a member of the IARA BoD, Professor Texas A&M University Natasha Brison (USA).

     Zahra Sharifzadeh (Iran) and Berna Celik Dogruyol (Northern Cyprus) also made interesting reports. The problems of the relationship between politics and universal values in international sports, discrimination in children's sports, the functioning of international sports in a pandemic, isolation and massive sanctions against individual countries, as well as the problems of gender equality and transgender athletes were discussed.

    The Rector of the National University of Physical Education and Sports, Professor Florin Pelin (Romania) included Anatoly Peskov in the scientific committee for the preparation of the International Sports Congress, which will be held June 11-12, this year in Bucharest, and invited him to become a key speaker at this Congress.

    The International Athlete Rights Association (IARA) continues to work on discussing the scientific problems of protecting the rights of athletes and strengthening the international relations of sports lawyers.
