Lawyers from the International Company "SILA International Lawyers" Decided to Assist the International Union of Lawyers in the Noble Mission of Protecting the Rights of Athletes and Supporting World Sports.

    Deputy Chairman of the International Union of Lawyers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Association for the Protection of Athletes' Rights Anatoly Peskov and General Director of the international company SILA International Lawyers Yuri Zaitsev signed a framework agreement on cooperation in order to provide legal assistance to athletes of the Russian Federation and foreign countries

     Under this agreement, the two organizations will jointly protect the rights of professional athletes, including their labor and civil rights. The parties agreed to protect athletes from any kind of discrimination, political pressure, and criminal offenses, unjustified and excessive sports sanctions, illegal criminal and administrative prosecutions related to their professional activities.    

     SILA International Lawyers is now ready to conclude agreements on legal assistance with professional athletes, sports federations, leagues, agents and clubs. Lawyers are ready to defend the rights of professional athletes in national, international sport and other organizations, they are also ready to be mediators, to represent the interests of athletes in international and national  arbitration courts, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (Switzerland).  

     International lawyers of our Union and SILA International Lawyers  are determined to fight decisively for the rights of professional athletes in Russian and international courts to receive compensation payments for athletes who have suffered from unlawful, unreasonable and excessive sanctions, criminal attacks, as well as illegal actions of officials of sports and other international and national organizations.    

    The International Athlete Rights Association (IARA) plans to submit applications and proposals on the protection of athletes' rights to International Olympic Committee, Committee of European Olympic Organizations, World Anti-Doping Agency, and Russian Ministry of Sports, Russian Olympic Committee, international and national sports federations and anti-doping organizations. IARA will also interact with Interpol, Europol, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Russian and foreign law enforcement agencies, supervisory and control authorities in order to protect the rights of athletes. In addition, the Association is going to submit proposals to international and national organizations on criminal, administrative and other punishment of officials who grossly violated the rights of athletes, in particular, those who responsible for death and damage to health, deceiving athletes, corruption, financial abuse in professional sports, manipulation the results of doping probes and sports competitions.
