Professor Panagiotopoulos P. Dimitrios is a well-known public and political figure in Greece, a world-renowned scientist, PhD, Professor at the of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Vice-Rector and President of the Scientific Research Committee at the University of Central Greece, President of the International Association of Sports Law, Head of a Law Firm in Athens, Attorney at law in Supreme Court and State Council of Greece, expert of the European Union on sports law. In 2020, he was elected a member of the Coordinating Council of the International Union of Lawyers and Chairman of the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Committee of the Greek National Anti-Doping Organization. President of the Greek Center of Sports Law Research (EKEAD), Editor-in-Chief of the international magazines “International Sports Law Review Pandektis (I.S.L.R. Pandektis)” and “E-Lex Sportiva Journal”, organizer of numerous scientific forums, congresses and seminars in Greece and various countries. Many times, gave public lectures on the problem of sports law at universities in Russia, China, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, UAE, Indonesia, Belarus, North and South Korea, Cyprus and other countries. Author of over 230 monographs, manuals, scientific articles and other scientific works. He was repeatedly nominated as a candidate for the Parliament of the Greece from various parties and political movements. Regularly appears on television and other Greek media on topical issues of domestic and foreign policy.
