Majed Garoub, a Famous Lawyer from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Has Been Elected as the New Honorary Chairman of the IARA Board of Directors

Our organization's Board of Directors elected Majed Garoub, a renowned lawyer in the Arab world, as Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD). He has been a member of our organization since January 2023 and is actively involved in advocating for athletes' rights. We all remember his passionate speech defending the rights of athletes worldwide at our organization's conference in Novosibirsk. Previously, he served as President of the National Jurists' Committee of Saudi Arabia, a member of the FIFA Legal Committee, and head of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's Disciplinary Committee. He currently heads one of the most successful law firms in the Arab world, the Law Firm of Majed M. Garoub, representing clients not only in the Arab world but also in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Majed Garoub also serves as Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council's Commercial Arbitration Center and a member of the Arab Group at the International Criminal Court. In December 2024, he was elected President of the International Association of Sports Law (IASL). A month ago, he successfully organized and financed the 27th IASL Congress in Rome, Italy, with the participation of the Foro Italico University of Rome and the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), which brought together 44 speakers from around the world. In 2026, Majed Garoub plans to visit Delhi, Milan, Geneva, Berlin, Budapest, and Moscow, where he will hold talks with leaders of sports organizations, businesses, and universities, and participate in international forums on sports law.
