Member of the Board of Directors of the International Athlete Rights Association Olga Brusnikina was elected President of the Synchronized Swimming Federation of the Russian Federation.

 

Member of the Board of Directors of the International Athlete Rights Association, three-time Olympic champion, four-time world champion in synchronized swimming Olga Brusnikina was elected on December 6, 2022 as the President of the Synchronized Swimming Federation of the Russian Federation.

Let us congratulate our dear friend and colleague on this wonderful event and high appointment. We wish Olga Brusnikina, an outstanding coach and figure in the international Olympic movement, further success in her selfless activities to develop synchronized swimming in the world. Olga Brusnikina, an outstanding and legendary Russian athlete, Honored Master of Sports in synchronized swimming, three-time Olympic champion, multiple world and European champion, member of the Presidential Council for Physical Culture and Sports, Honorary Chairman of the Athletes' Commission of the Russian Olympic Committee. Included in the list of outstanding athletes of the world of the World Swimming Hall of Fame (USA, 2009). Olga Brusnikina won gold medals at the Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens, at the World Championships in Australia, Spain and Japan, and awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. Olga Brusnikina was a Member of the Collegium of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation for a long time. Author of a monograph and a series of scientific articles on the problems of doping in world and Russian sports.
